Miradas Award

   Fundacin Manantial presents an annual award of 6,000 euros.

Every year Fundacin Manantial presents an award endowed with 6,000 euros to someone who has contributed to:

  • Bettering the quality of life of people with mental illness;
  • Creating jobs for persons with mental illness;
  • Fighting the social stigma associated with mental illness.

The award may go to scientists who have published dissertations, papers, articles or studies; reporters or journalists who have produced TV or radio shows or have written newspaper articles; authors of books and testimonials related to mental illness; or any person or entity that has stood out for advancing any of the Fundacins goals.

How to submit a nomination: 8th Annual Miradas Award

To submit a nomination, please send a one page letter indicating the name of the candidate, their contact information, and the reasons why the nominee is being recommended for the award.

Examples of the nominee's work may be attached to the nomination letter if considered appropriate. Only work related to people with mental illness will be taken into consideration. For questions or further clarification, please contact the Fundacin's Communication Department.

    DECATHLON stores in Madrid, for their commitment to the employment of people with mental illness. A second prize was awarded this year to SAMUR SOCIAL for their work with homeless persons suffering from mental illness.

    Participa y Comprende, an awareness-raising platform created to fight stigmatization of people with mental disorders and improve their social image.
